Why We Came To Be
Boni Beach began with Beth and Dylan. Beth, from the United States, was a comedy performer and coach; Dylan, from Australia, a dietitian and chef. They met in Indonesia in 2016, and over the years that followed they shared a dream — to start a family, and to share the beauty of Lombok with travellers from around the world. After a lot of hard work, alongside many talented people, Boni Beach Lombok opened in 2023 — designed by Design Assembly and built by Teguh and his team.
Today Beth and Dylan live just along the beach in Serangan with their two young children — though they count the Boni Beach team, and their families, as part of their own. Everyone who works here is from Lombok, and we try hard to make Boni a safe, supportive place to grow, with training and education along the way. Nearly everything you eat and drink is made in house, from the sourdough and yoghurt to many of the cocktails. Boni is built on love, and we hope you feel it while you’re here.
