Gili Islands

The three Gili Islands — Trawangan, Meno and Air — lie off Lombok’s northwest coast: a cluster of white-sand islands ringed by turquoise shallows, snorkelling reefs and sea-turtle grounds, with no cars or motorbikes anywhere on them. Gili Trawangan is the liveliest, with beach bars and dive schools; Gili Meno is the quiet, honeymoon island; and Gili Air sits somewhere between the two.

From Boni Beach in Selong Belanak the Gilis are a half-day mission — a drive up to Bangsal harbour, then a short public or fast boat across — so they’re best enjoyed as an overnight escape rather than a day trip. We’re happy to help you arrange transport and boats.
